4-26-2011

Massive schools of Bluefish have shown up at Beaufort Inlet along with Spanish mackerel off Shack and on the Shoals at Pt Lookout. The inshore AR's should be holding Bonito as the water temps rise to 70 degrees.

Hard Tails / Macs

I have returned from Cape Cod after great 10 days of trying to catch but only able to get out 3 days due to the weather, but it was good being able to spend some time with my children and friends.

Back to catching for the three days on the water how about an 80+" Bluefin on a spinning rod[released], 36" Gator Bluefish and Bass aka Rock to 40" on fly rods. Sorry no pics since the battery went doa in my digital and I was not smart enough to use my Cell.

Albys a Spanish are showing up from the Sheraton to the Shoals in good numbers.
Hopefully the weather will cooperate and we will have a good fall season.

I have days open so give me a call...........

Macs........

Loads of Spanish Macs and Bluefish from Beaufort Inlet to the Cape Lookout Shoals. Small Pink/white Closers and for the spin guys 1/8oz sting silvers are working great.
Heard of some early Albys on the East Side wrecks on sinking lines being caught.

Vacation

I have just returned from a short vacation on Cape Cod. My good friend Paul Higgins invited me to play captain on his new 23 Seacraft. In three trips threw the new Inlet in Pleasant Bay we caught over 100 Striped Bass [aka Rock] from 30-45"s all on the Fly rod. On one of the trip we landed a 65" Bluefin Tuna on a spin outfit. All but one Bass was released for dinner.. June is a must go for any southern fly angler. The fishing is just awesome
